FRANKY’s materials division is an upstream strategic venture for the group as part of the value-added services to clients. Operations cover quarries, ready-mixed concrete plants and precast concrete casting facilities. The division’s quarry and premix products are the materials for common road works, highway construction, car park construction, airport, pavements, housing and other construction projects.
The quarry business involves the production and supply of various types of granite and aggregate products, armour rocks and road-base materials required for road building works and reclamation projects. FRANKY’s quarry pits are located in Panching, Pahang and Jabor, Terengganu, both of which currently supply more than 25% of total market requirements in the East Coast Region of Peninsular Malaysia.
The ready-mixed concrete business is a highly competitive but niche sector within the construction industry. The principal activity is the manufacturing and customising of sustainable ready-mixed concrete solutions with competitive pricing. Currently, the division has 24 batching plants–21 dry and 3 wet–at strategic locations in Pahang, Terengganu and Selangor.
